Ivy Tech Sees Enrollment Surge

The Spring semester at Ivy Tech Community College kicked off Monday, and officials say more students enrolled this year then last.
Just under 120-thousand students enrolled for the first day of class. The college saw large gains in the number of students with previous college experience coming back to school and enrolling at Ivy Tech for the first time.
Just over 54-hundred students with prior college experience enrolled for the first time this term, an increase of 24 percent over last Spring.
The college enrolled 17-thousand new students to the college, with 82-thousand returning.
Since 2005, Ivy Tech has seen Spring enrollment jump 82 percent.
