Michael Shafer was arrested in late 2011, after remnants of a lab were found at Wood Memorial High School, where he was employed.
In exchange for the guilty plea, Shafer is expected to receive a 12 year sentence. It will be up to a judge to determine how the first half of that sentence will be served. Options include work release, jail time or home detention. Shafer is expected, however, to serve the second half of the sentence on probation.
Formal sentencing is set for February 26th.
