Leaders of the Henderson County school district are now looking over the results of a recent student survey about bullying.
Officials shared the results at Tuesday night's school board meeting.
Students from grades 3-12 were asked to fill out questionnaires over winter break.
The survey found in younger children, the survey showed bullying happens more in the form of name-calling or teasing.
But the older students reported more problems happening over the internet.
Assistant Superintendent Morganna Stanley says the bullying often starts on social media like Facebook, then trickles over to the classroom.
Stanley says it's important parents keep an eye on what their kids are texting or writing to other kids.
Most students questioned in the survey said they felt comfortable reporting any kind of bullying to their parents or to their teachers.
