A Newburgh McDonald's was jam-packed tonight with people throwing support behind Sharon Elementary School. More than 50 staff members took over the kitchen at McDonald's for "McTeacher Night". They're raising money to pay for a college campaign.

This Spring, every student at Sharon Elementary will get the chance to visit a Tri-State university. Organizers say it's important kids start thinking about their future right away.

"We're hoping it teaches the kids to continue their education," said Sharon Elementary Assistant Principal Adam Schmitt, "but we're also encouraging parents to go on the trips with the them. And it could give them a chance to look at colleges as well."

The proceeds from tonight's fundraiser will send all the kindergartners to Oakland City University, 1st graders to the University of Southern Indiana, 2nd graders to Kentucky Wesleyan, 3rd graders to Vincennes University, 4th graders to the University of Evansville, and 5th graders will get to head to Bloomington to check out Indiana University.
