Evansville Water Utility Looking to Refinance Bonds

The city of Evansville is hoping a refinance of its water and sewer utility's two outstanding bonds will save about four-million dollars.
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke recognized how much the utility could save in this time of historically low interest rates and followed through in an effort that he says will keep the city's finances strong.
The proposal will be presented to city council next month. If approved, the Water and Sewer Utility will spend less money while paying off its long-term debt for two of its outstanding bonds.
