Updated: January 24, 2013
The U.S. Postal Service says it's hiring 400 new employees across Indiana, but job-seekers have to apply online by Sunday night.

It said Thursday the jobs include city carrier assistants paying $15 per hour in locations such as Indianapolis, Evansville, New Albany, Princeton and Lawrenceburg. Available job openings can be seen online by going to www.usps.com , clicking on "Careers" and searching the job openings.

It says employees are required to work Saturdays and weekdays as needed and possibly Sundays and holidays. Applicants must have a valid state driver's license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of documented driving experience. They must live within 50 miles commuting distance.

All applicants must apply online at http://www.usps.com/employment .
