New Credit Card Fees in Effect

A settlement between Visa, Mastercard and nine banks, is allowing stores to pass on the fees the credit issuers make them pay. That means you could be charged anywhere between one and four percent more on your credit purchases. However, experts say the number of stores participating will likely be small at first.
The fees won't apply to debit transactions.
