Iraqi Refuge Asking for Reduce Sentence for Helping Terrorists

An Iraqi refugee from Bowling Green, Kentucky wants a reduced sentence for attempting to send weapons and cash to Al-Qaeda. A court-appointed lawyer for Mohanad Hammadi says his client will ask for 15 years or less in a sentencing hearing tomorrow. Hammadi faces a possible life sentence. His lawyer claims the government entrapped Hammadi into committing a more serious offense by including a stinger missile in their plot. He is one of two Iraqi refugees pleading guilty to attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. They were arrested in May 2011.
