By: Michael Pickett
Updated: January 30, 2013
The severe weather has stopped for now, but the red cross is just getting started.

Volunteers are doing damage assessments in Muhlenberg County. They're feeding affected residents in some of the hardest hit areas, including near Lake Morris.  Executive Director Whitney Wardrip says storm victims need food, clothing, and medical supplies.

"With the power being out, there are some medical needs that we are looking into right now," she says.  "We need to have generators and, hopefully, get the power back up soon, so those medical clients can get the help they need."

Volunteers were also oing assessments in Christian and Todd counties throughout the day.
