Updated: January 31, 2013
Evansville Police say a morning shooting victim is now a suspect, after shooting himself in the leg.

The call first came in as shots fired on the 300 block of Cass Avenue around 4:40 Thursday morning.  Police say after further investigation, they determined the victim was shot after a gun in his pocket went off.

He was taken to Saint Mary's with non-life threatening injuries, and is expected to be charged with being a violent felon in possession of a handgun.

Police say a juvenile was also arrested after trying to leave the scene with two guns and a large amount of drugs.  The juvenile is being held at the Youth Care Center.  So far, no names have been released.
