Indiana's new governor says he likes the idea of expanding the state's private school voucher plan. Mike Pence's policy director told the House Education Committee that the governor wants to end the one-year waiting period for families applying for scholarships. Right now, students have to spend a year in public school before qualifying for the vouchers to make sure the lowest-income families get the most vouchers.
