A community is shaken up after a reported attempted robbery leaves one woman hurt and three Warrick County schools on lockdown.  A woman tells deputies a man tried to steal her truck, but ended up pinning her against the garage with it.  It happened just one block from Lynnville Elementary School around 9:00 Wednesday morning.  Neighbors say they normally don't lock their doors, but tonight they're on high alert with their doors locked.

It was a scary day at school for 6th grader Jenny Henning.  She says the custodian walked in her Lynnville Elementary classroom and told them the school was on lock down.

"The teacher was kind of getting on to us because we were all talking, but we were all scared, so we were trying to cheer each other up," Jenny Henning said.

Warrick County deputies say they have few details at this time about an attempted robbery that happened near the school.  They say the suspect demanded money and the keys to the female victim's truck.  The woman told him she didn't have any money, and the suspect ran away.  K-9's were brought in, but could not find a scent.  Deputies say they also couldn't find any footprints in the snow.

Investigators say three schools were put on lock down for more than an hour, Lynnville Elementary, Tecumseh, and Elberfeld.  Warrick County officials say the measures were done because of initial reports the suspect was headed west toward one of the schools.

"It was pretty terrifying because our town is so small by itself, so things like this just don't happen often around here," Henning said.

Henning says she was terrified walking home from school.  She says her neighborhood has always been a safe place until this morning.

No word on the victim's condition.  Deputies say they are still looking for the suspect.  He's described as a white male, with long brown hair and a beard, wearing blue jeans and an old camouflage jacket.  If you have any information, call the Warrick County Sheriff's Office.
