Divorces Denied in Vanderburgh County on Valentine's Day

At the other end of the spectrum, residents trying to get a divorce today in Vanderburgh County couldn't. Community Marriage Builders and the Vanderburgh County Divorce Court judges have come together to deny final divorces in the county today. Residents could still file for divorce today at the County Clerk's Office, but the court would take no action on the filing.
"The whole idea was to get people to stop and think," said Executive Director of Community Marriage Builders John Phillips, "and recognize that there might be an alternative to filing for divorce."
The No Divorce Day is one of the events of National Marriage Week by Community Marriage Builders.
