Traffic Stop in Vanderburgh County Leads to Drug Arrest

    Indiana State Police say they stopped 19 year old Kyshaun Pegue of Evansville for a defective license plate light and when Troopers approached the vehicle they smelled a strong odor of marijuana.
    During a search of the vehicle, ISP say they found a backpack containing prescription drugs and two grams of synthetic marijuana. They also found a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle.
    Pegue is charged with three counts of Possession of a Legend Drug, Class D Felony, Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor and Possession of Synthetic Canabinoids.
    Pegue is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond.
