Indiana 8th District Congressman Larry Bucshon wants to put more limits on U.S. foreign aid. Bucshon has introduced a bill that would prohibit non-military U.S. aid from going to countries, which have a gross domestic product above $1.5 trillion. Ironically, Bucshon's opponent in November critizized the Congressman for supporting aid to places like Pakistan. Under Bucshon's plan, aid would be cut to places such as China, Brazil, India, and Mexico. The proposal would allow certain humanitarian aid in circumstances such as natural disasters.
