A proposal to allow kindergartners and other students to be immediately eligible for Indiana's private school voucher program is approved by the State House. The measure now heads to the Senate for consideration. If passed, it would remove several exemptions from the previous law. For example, students wouldn't have to spend a year in public school before they are eligible for a voucher. Right now, more than 9,000 students in the state are getting vouchers.
