Arthur Deramo pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter, and in return, he will serve a 10 year sentence in connection with the death of Jeremy Goodwin.
Goodwin's body was found on a rural Hopkins County Road in June of 2012. Deramo was arrested five months later.
Deramo admitted he and Goodwin had been driving around and drinking together. Deramo says he was driving recklessly, so Goodwin jumped out of the van while it was moving. Deramo ran over Goodwin, then stopped the car, put it in reverse, and ran over him again. Deramo says after that, he panicked and fled the state.
