American Cancer Society Embarking on Major Study

By: Michael C. Fehn
Updated: February 26, 2013
If you're between the ages of 30 and 65, the American Cancer Society is asking you to think about taking part in a major cancer study.

It's a long-term commitment that's never been done before.  Experts want to track 300 thousand people from all over the U.S., who have never had cancer, and follow their lifestyles over the next several years.

The Cancer Society hosted the first informational meeting this morning in downtown Evansville to get the word out about the study.  There will be two other chances to learn more about the project but they will be held in Vincennes and Washington on March 6th and 7th.

For more information on the project, visit our news links page.
