An Evansville teacher will soon have the chance to re-trace his family's history in Europe, thanks to a creativity award. Andrew Weinzapfel teaches Social Studies at Bosse High School. He's is chosen to receive what's called the Lilly Endowment Teacher Creativity Fellowship. He's the only Evansville teacher to get the award, which is given to educators to pursue their personal interests and then later share it with the students. Weinzapfel will get $10,000 to follow his ancestors' steps and will also get to tour some of his family's orchards in Washington state.
