Committee Votes to Abolish Constables in Kentucky

In Kentucky, the proposal to get rid of constables is gaining some steam. Constables have police powers in much of the commonwealth, but critics say the position has become outdated. A proposal to abolish the office passed the House Elections Committee. It now goes to the full House for its next vote.
