JBI Construction begins work this week along the Lloyd Expressway to patch damaged sections of concrete between US 41 and I-164. The project should take most of the summer, and most of it will happen at night.
JBI says that makes it very unique for this area, and company officials hope drivers will pay very close attention to their crews as they labor in the evening hours. The goal of the night time work is to avoid major congestion during peak commuter hours.
JBI plans to have just a single lane closed during the day, but two lanes closed at night. The Indiana Department of Transportation says equipment will be moved in to place to do the work by Tuesday, and orange barrels could be in place by Wednesday.
