Red Cross Launches Tornado Warning App

There's a new way to stay safe during tornado warnings.
A new tornado app is being launched Monday by the American Red Cross. The free app has a number of features including one that can wake you up, like the high-pitched siren, and an all clear message that launches, even when the app is closed.
The tornado app also includes simple steps and checklists for an emergency plan and an "i'm safe" button that allows you to send messages to friends and family to let them know you're out of harm's way.
The information is supplied by NOAA, and you can set it up for the area where you live and also for where your friends and family live.
