Indiana Lawmakers Continue Budget Discussions

Lawmakers are back at the Indiana statehouse for the second half of this year's legislative session. The biggest job they face is completing work on a new two-year state budget. A state Senate committee will begin hearings this week on the house-approved budget plan that calls for $700 million more in school and road spending. It also leaves out the governor's proposed 10 percent income tax cut. Senators will have the next several weeks to consider it.
