It's already illegal to text behind the wheel in Illinois, but a new bill heading for the State Senate could make it against the law for you to talk on your phone while driving. Drivers would have to use speaker phone or some kind of hands-free device to make a call. First responders and law enforcement would be exempt. We'll keep an eye on whether the bill is considered by the Illinois State Senate this week.
