Car Hits Building In Downtown Evansville

An Evansville woman was taken to the hospital after she drove her car into a building.
It happened around 3:30 at the Hilliard Lyons building on Main Street. Poilce say the elderly woman told them she thought she had the car in reverse, but when she hit the gas, the car went forward.
It stopped when it hit the front of the building.
The building only received glass damage and damage to its front doors.
The woman was taken to the hospital for observations. No one else was injured.
