Evansville's Alhambra Theatre is all about nostalgia, so what could be a more perfect theme for this year's film series? The "4th Friday" event will bring the 100 year old theatre back to life this Summer. The free fun starts at sundown May 24. They will show the Wizard of Oz on the wall outside the theatre. The next movie centers around one of the cutest aliens you'll see on screen, ET. That will be June 28. The third and final film is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on July 26th. This series is just the first event to celebrate its centennial.

"There are a lot of few activities that you can do downtown," said Film Series Co-Chair Elizabeth Robinson. "We also will be having a music and arts festival in August, so again you can bring everyone down for that."

Alhambra owners will share all of their information on the theatre's Facebook page.
