Chandler's Water Treatment Plant Receives Award

By: Brett Allega
Updated: March 11, 2013
Chandler's Water Treatment Plant was recognized with an Engineering Excellence Merit Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Indiana today. Each year, the Engineering Excellence Awards are given out to leaders within the engineering community.
The Town of Chandler broke ground in 2010 on the $5.8 Million water treatment plant, which is now fully operational. "The new water treatment plant is an important piece of Chandler's economic development strategy", acknowledges Brian Lucas, Chandler Town Board President. "I'm confident that the plant will provide reliable water, but also lead to job creation."
Chandler Utilities provides drinking water to nearly 7,000 customers in southwest and central Warrick County. The utility is located in the rapidly growing area east of Evansville and adjacent to I-64.
