Indiana Governor Mike Pence's salary is the highest ever for that position. Pence reportedly makes just over $111,000 a year. Former Governor Mitch Daniels earned 95,000 when he took office in 2005. Lawmakers then changed the law to increase the governor's salary at the beginning of every term. You may be surprised to know Pence isn't the highest earner in his own office. His chief of staff makes about $125,000 according to the State Auditor's Office.
