KY Unemployment Rate Improves in January

The Office of Employment and Training released its latest figures on Thursday.
Woodford County reported the lowest jobless rate at 5.9 percent. Fayette, Oldham, Shelby and Madison counties ranged between 6.5 percent and 7 percent.
Magoffin County had the state's highest unemployment rate at 18.8 percent. Letcher County reported 16.9 percent. Leslie County was at 16.4 percent and Harlan County at 15.8 percent.
Fulton County rivaled some of the Appalachian communities for joblessness with an unemployment rate of 15.2 percent.
