Evansville Man Arrested After Severely Beating his Girlfriend

An Evansville man accused of severely beating his girlfriend will need $10,000 in cash to get out of jail. Police were looking for 38-year-old Reko Levels for more than a week after the woman was hospitalized. They arrested him Saturday. Officials say she has a broken pelvis, and the beating may have affected her hearing. Levels faces several charges, including battery, intimidation, and theft. Today, a judge ordered him held on that $10,000 cash-only bond.
