Cameron White was the only survivor of Pike County cornfield killer Nick Harbison's rage in July of 2006. Now he finds himself on the wrong side of the law in 2008.
White and his girlfriend Sara Lofton are both facing felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance charges. Lofton is also charged with felony neglect of a dependent.
The charges all stem from an incident Wednesday when an off duty Pike County deputy found a 2 year old child wandering in a field near a flooded area wearing just a shirt and diaper.
Gibson County Sheriff's deputies called to the scene located the child's parents, later identified as Cameron White and Sara Lofton. Both were reportedly sleeping inside their home, and deputies had to enter the residence to wake them.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence, and with the help of a drug dog, located what officials are calling a "substantial amount" of drugs in the home.
White and Lofton were both arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail. Both are being held without bond.
Cameron White survived the July 2006 shooting and stabbing by Nick Harbison in a Pike County corn field. He was able to call for help, and later identified Harbison as the trigger man. Harbison accepted a guilty plea and is serving a life sentence for the murders.
