Mayor Weinzapfel to Endorse Senator Barack Obama
(EVANSVILLE,IN) - Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfelfeels this is a pivotal moment
in American History that calls for a special leader, and he believes Senator Barack
Obama is that special leader. Mayor Weinzapfel will offer his endorsement as he
introduces Senator Obama at tonights rally at Roberts Stadium.
"I feel Senator Obama brings integrity, a fresh perspective, good judgment, a
wealth of experience and determined leadership to deal with the challenges our
country faces," said Mayor Weinzapfel.
Weinzapfel says he believes Senator Obama understands the needs of working
families and understands the struggle it takes to succeed. He also says Senator
Obama has the ability to inspire us all and unite our nation, "in a way that
transcends the typical partisan politics of the past, and allows us to focus on our
shared hopes and dreams for the future."
