breaking news
Theres a new outdoor fishing show geared towards giving bass fishermen "the ultimate edge." Its called Bass Edge. And its cast and crew had a rendezvous with Doug Kufner on Patoka Lake.
Fishing was a way for Aaron Martin to spend time with his dad. "I Started fishing at a young age with my dad. I love it so much." Martin made his love for fishing into a business. A business that involves two boats, a director, and a camera crew. The finished product is the outdoor fishing show Bass Edge. This week their bringing an edge to tri-state fisherman at Patoka Lake. "When we started, we wanted to make a hands on show were fisherman from different regions could relate then take it and carry it into their own experience." Bass Edge provides a unique fishing experience because its more than just a T.V. show. "Theres the podcast, the internet, and different ways for viewers to interact with professional anglers." Thirteen different professional anglers in the boat alongside Martin throughout the season, which means different personalities working together for one common goal. "My jobs easy, they do research getting shots, people dont realize the amount of work and planning that goes into a shoot."
The Bass Edge crew spends ten to twelve hours a day with the best technology on the water filming a show, but what happens when the fish arent biting??? "You try and make something out of nothing. Get shots of wildlife. People want to see different animals. Just keep plugging away and youre always hopeful its gonna happen on the next cast." And if it doesnt, theres always tomorrow or the next day. Bottom line... its not a bad day when your office is the lake with the cast and crew of Bass Edge.
Bass Edge can be seen on the cable network Versus. Saturday mornings at 6:30 Evansville time, and again on Tuesday mornings at 9:30.
