Rescue Training at Aztar

Casino Aztar became the scene of a rescue Wednesday. It was just a mock rescue, but is part of the training many off-duty firefighters are going through this week. The parking garage at Casino Aztar was used to simulate the rescue of an unconscious window washer poised high above the ground. The On-Site Health and Safety Services Company did the rescue and say training like this is necessary because of the changing guidelines of OSHA. The On-Site Health and Safety Company is made up of local firefighters who provide specialty fire fighting services to groups that may not have access to this unique training.
