A new report paints a rosy picture of the state of manufacturing in Indiana.
Ball State University says the Hoosier State produced $249 billion worth of goods in 2005.
That is well ahead of many states in the midwest.
The report gives Indiana an "A" for the health of its manufacturing economy and it rates Indiana as having the 6th best manufacturing economy in the country.
Illinois received a "C" in the study and a ranking of 14th.
Kentucky got an "F" and a ranking of 45.
