Singer Killed in Bus Crash

A Madisonville, Kentucky born gospel singer is killed while traveling to a Mothers Day performance in Texas. Published reports say Dottie Rambo died Sunday as a result of injuries from a bus accident that happened outside of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Reports indicate the accident happened at about two in the morning when the singers tour bus ran off the road, struck a guardrail and hit an embankment. Rambo was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports to our newsroom say seven others on the bus were injured. Dotties career dated back to the late 1950s. She published more than 25-hundred songs. The 74-year-old had just completed an album set to be released this spring.
