Dead End Residents Hope to Keep Street Quiet

Folks living on a dead end street in Newburgh hope they can keep their neighborhood from being linked to a busy highway.
A developer wants to build new homes at the end of their street, and add access to Indiana Highway 66.
Neighbors say they know they cant stand in the way of progress.
They hope they can convince the developer to consider abandoning plans to access the highway in favor of upgrading the existing road.
Linking to 66, they say, would add traffic and compromise safety on their street.
Neighbors plan to attend a zoning meeting Tuesday night in Boonville to discuss their views with the developer. They hope a compromise can be reached.
