breaking news
An Evansville reservist came home today after spending a year in Iraq. Master Sgt. Michael Collins received a hearty welcome when he got off the plane Thursday afternoon. While overseas he worked with juvenile detainees. He built teaching programs, to teach reading and writing skills. He also built a work program, teaching the textile trade and brick work.
Collins says each day US troops do less because the Iraqi Department of Defense is doing more. He feels good about the job he performed for his country. Now that hes back, Collins will soon return to his job as a Vanderburgh County Sheriffs Deputy.
but first - he says - hell spend some time reconnecting with friends and family.
