New Fire Station for Corydon, KY

The Kentucky Governors office announced grant money for a new fire station for the Henderson County town of Corydon. The new station for the Corydon Civil Defense Volunteer Fire Department will improve response time for all fire, rescue and other emergency efforts. Currently, the department is forced to store its equipment and supplies in three different locations. The 12 volunteers and EMTs serve the Corydon area and are back-up for seven other regional fire departments.
