The Evansville Museum of Art, History and Science is planning a $15 million expansion.
Museum officials unveiled plans Friday morning.
The project is called "Reaching for the Stars".
9,000 square feet will be added on the existing 55,000 square foot building.
The expansion will go from the south side of the building into the current public parking area.
Plans include a planetarium, a theatre and an exhibit dedicated to the homefront effort during World War II.
Two-thirds of the money needed has already been collected.
Work is slated to begin within a year.
They hope to have the expansion complete by November of 2010.
