A Reitz high school project honoring fallen soldiers is dedicated Saturday. Seniors Tanner Babb and Connor Houchins began working on their senior project last year. Inspired by the death of former Reitz Coach and Tanners father Sgt. Brock Babb. The marine was killed in a humvee attack in Iraq in 2006. But through research and interviews the seniors came up with 60 names of fallen war veterans and Reitz alumni dating back to World War II. The two raised 6-thousand dollars for the project through donations from the community. Giving them enough money to add the bricks and benches. The students say there are four additional names that will soon be added to the monument. They include veterans that left school early to join the military.
