Lifeguard Chairs Stolen

News Release: From: City of Evansville Lifeguard Chairs Stolen from Helfrich Pool (EVANSVILLE, IN)- The Evansville Department of Parks and Recreation is asking for your help to locate two lifeguard chairs that were stolen from Helfrich Pool. The chairs were taken sometime between Friday evening and this morning. They are normally chained down, but the person or persons who took the chairs also took the chains. Each lifeguard chair weighs about 200 to 300 hundred pounds and is made out of recyclable plastic. They cost about $485 dollars apiece. The Parks Department has some older chairs it will use at Helfrich until the stolen chairs are recovered or new ones are purchased. If you have any information about the thefts or where the stolen chairs might be, please call Evansville Police.
