Illinois Woman Sells Young Son
(Joliet, IL) -- An Illinois woman allegedly sold her son yesterday for 100 dollars.
The "Joliet Herald-News" reports 28-year-old Jovon Griggs was arrested after a "concerned citizen" told police Griggs was trying to sell the 18-month-old boy.
Police then asked that citizen to purchase the child while under supervision.
After witnessing the sale, officers arrested Griggs on a misdemeanor charge of endangering the life of a child.
She is out on bond, but both the 18-month-old and Griggs eight-year-old son are in state custody.
Authorities arent sure why Griggs was trying to sell the child.
