Dictionaries define "eco-tourism” as places having unspoiled natural resources and a low impact on the environment. With state parks, rivers, lakes and mountains all over the country, and increased awareness about the environment nationwide, its no wonder eco-tourism is catching on. But what may surprise you is traditional travel is also going green. Those in the travel business say it looks like going green is catching on. Theres even a green hotels association. The International Eco-Tourism Society says close to three fourths of travelers think safeguarding the environment is part of a hotels responsibility.
