Proposed Evansville Sewer Rate Compared to Area Cities

Evansville residents may soon be paying more for sewer service, but the new rate will either be comparable or less than other cities in our area.
Evansville Proposed Rate $23.67
Henderson $23.48
Chandler $40.46
Indianapolis $17.04
The Water and Sewer Utility Board has approved a 17% increase in the service cost.
The increase will cost the average customer an extra $3.45 a month.
The board approved the higher rates to help pay for sewer projects in the city.
If the City Council approves the increase, it will go into effect on August 1.
