Governor Mitch Daniels went to Daviess County, Indiana today to see the flooding damage for himself. The governor arrived in Elnora around noon after visiting Columbus. He met with farmers and agricultural officials to assess the damage. People who lost their homes asked the governor for help. The governor says - each county will have a new assistance center in the coming weeks to make the aid-assistance process easier. State Agriculture Director Andy Miller says the floods drowned the young corn and bean crops across many parts of central Indiana, but many farmers will try to re-plant. Coming up at 6:30, well bring you more on the governors visit and talk with one of the families whove lost so much in the floods.
