Indiana National Guard members got to work sandbagging in Posey County as flood waters continued to creep into the New Harmony area. County commissioners declared a state of emergency Thursday as the flooding on the Wabash River reached Posey County. The National Guard was sandbagging in an area around the towns wells Friday. Theyll continue Saturday as a precaution. Officials believe the downtown area will be okay and several events will go on as scheduled this weekend.
