Dead Donkey Arrest

It was the first court appearance Tuesday for an Edwards County, Illinois man accused of killing a donkey in Albion. Gorgeous the donkey was killed last Tuesday. The Edwards County State Attorney says 21-year-old Kenneth Long of Albion was taken into custody early Monday morning and appeared in court Tuesday morning. The Sheriffs Department says a 38-caliber handgun found in Longs home was likely used in the shooting. Longs bond has been set at $80,000. His preliminary hearing is on Friday.
