Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden will keep its accreditation from the association of zoos and aquariums.
The staff underwent a thorough investigation in November, to ensure it has and will continue to meet ever-rising standards, which include animal care and veterinary programs.
This is a process which member zoos and aquariums are required to submit to every five years.
Only the very best zoos and aqauriumns can meet the tough accredittation standards.
Mesker lost its accreditation in 1998 and did not receive it back until 2002.
