Tempers flared in Lawrence county as flood victims demanded answers. During a county board meeting Wednesday residents said they should have been notified before the levees broke. They say emergency officials knew as early as eleven that morning but failed to let residents know before flood waters hit homes the next day. Some blame the sheriffs department but others say EMA director Jesse Angle is to blame. Angle did not attend the meeting but Lawrence county board chair Charles Gillespie says the director is not to blame. He says he thinks there are some political overtones in those asking for him to resign. Gillespie did admit that the county needs to evaluate their response to the flooding. But says hes now focused on getting the government to declare Lawrence county a federal disaster area.
